Ordinary Living…the birth and vision

In December 1995 Ordinary Living was created.

My vision was simple and real: to support people within a group home but to offer a total person centred approach.

Everyone is unique and everyone has their own individual journey.

Ordinary Living is about helping people to live their lives no matter what their disability is. For people to learn and maintain life skills. We focus on life quality, attainable goals, integration, the feel good factor and dealing with the complexities of life.

Regular keyworker meetings, person centred planning and constant reviewing: it is important to get things right and to realise that people needs change and we have to accommodate these changes.

Our house becomes a persons’ home. We don’t have big signs on the houses, nor do we have mini buses with advertising. We just have your everyday cars and your everyday homes. Steve Turner – Owner
